Support

Grant Support
Most of our funding comes from grants through the local, state, and federal government. The following agencies and programs support the center financially:
- Illinois Attorney General's Office - Violent Crime Victims Assistance Program
- DCFS
- Perry County 708 Mental Health Board
- Jackson County 708 Mental Health Board
- Poshard Foundation for Abused Children
- Illinois Criminal Justice Authority - Victims of Crime Act Fund
Community Support
We are all very aware of the state of our economy, so it is not surprising that our grants from the state government continue to be cut on an annual basis. However, the support of the community has been vital in allowing us to provide the services to child abuse victims in both Perry and Jackson County. The center receives donations from the following sources from the community:
- The City of Pinckneyville donates the use of a house as our Pinckneyville facility
- Knight Hawk Coal and other community agencies help the center provide clients and siblings gifts at Christmas
- Local churches donate money year round
- Clothing, toys, books, etc. are donated regulary for our clients
- Donations from individuals (monetary and otherwise)
